Hydrocalce is a special eco water-based waterproofer and protector for all lime based finishes and other porous materials. It has water-repellent and dirt resistant properties.
Hydrocalce makes the surface washable without significantly changing its breathability. Hydrocalce is suitable for interior or exterior wall protection and is recommended for showers and any finish that will be near water. For showers & wetrooms, please seek our advice regarding the best plasters and systems to use. We would recommend using hydrocalce with another of our Top Coats for the best water resistance.
This is a concentrated product that will make 7 litres of Ready-To-Use material once diluted.
Coverage – Appox. 50 ml/sqm (non-diluted product) after two coats – that is, 200ml/sqm of diluted product.
Dilution – Textured finishes: Mix 1 part product with 5 parts distilled water (by weight).
Smooth finishes: Mix 1 part product with 10 parts distilled water (by weight).
Application – By hand, using a roller, brush, or spray-gun
