Whitson’s Foils are an easy way to add metallic interest to your project without the cost in both time and materials of leaf. They are made from a thin layer of non-reactive metallic sheets that are fused to a clear cellophane. These foils allow you to control the amount of foil that is transferred, whether you want it all or just a little.

Whitson’s Foils are compatible with all paints and plasters and there is no need to worry about tarnishing.

Application
Foils are used by applying a coat of acrylic gold size, extra release can be obtained with two coats. Once the size comes to tack, apply the foil plain side down and use a scrubbing brush, rubber roller or any tool of your choice to release the metallic. Different tools can give different finishes.
